I need to know if can buy Brass nuts like the ones shown here

Or if thats a part I would have visit a machine shop for.

Also I would like any and all links to hardware sites, that may have sheaves etc.

Look at McMaster.com under Acme nuts, and there's a wide selection to choose from. Hope it helps.

You'd be surprised what your Friendly ACE man can do for you.   The other chain hardware stores can help too, if the owner or manager is of a mind.  They have much more to offer than displayed on their shelves.  If they care, they have thick books of tools and fasteners that are offered by their Franchiser.  A lot of the stuff, I thought wasn't available because I considered them antique.  Then I was talking with my friend who owns an ACE and he dragged out a New York City sized phone book full of tools and fasteners.   There was most anything in there a fellow would want.

You have to talk with the owner or manager though.  The rest of the people are just hired help and don't even know what is on the shelf about half of the time.

This is what makes a Hardware store a  "Good" Hardware store.

Samdland,

Sorry, couldn't find the brass nuts in the link you referenced.  Locally, our Ace Hardware and Tractor Supply will both order anything the fastener suppliers list in their catalogs.  Ace is generally faster for small quantities.  When Tractor Supply runs a sale on hardware, they will also discount prepaid bulk orders at the same rate if you need a large quantity.

This isnt the first mill I have built. This will make #3. I intend to build one after enouther. Trying to make living at it.

I generally use Ozark supply, but they can be pricey. I had a conversation here about a year ago about building swing blade mill. there wasa link posted to a site with gearboxes etc. I would love to find that site again

Can we get a closer look at those nuts?

Brass is soft enough that you can tap those parts easy enough out of bar stock.
I do what the little voices in my wife's head tell me to do.

McMaster-Carr has them, page 2523 in my catalog. Thats where I bought the ones for my mill. Square & Hex, LH & RH thread,  1 1/8" x5 [what I used] are 12.00 ea. Close to 10 years on them, still work fine.

McMaster-Carr has an excellent webb site- one of the best.
I'm not at home to check tonight, but I think that it is www.mcmastercarr.com.  If that don't work for you, just use Google.  They ship right away.  I am always surprised at how quick they get things to me.
