Yesterday I rolled my forwarder. Well, just layed it on it's side. Everything's OK, my buddy came by this evening and we used my skidder to put it back on it's feet. I could have done it myself, but he wanted to see it in person. I've made that particular turn on a kind of side slope a hundred times, the hundred and first time it bit me. It slopes into the hill, so I never worried about it much. Now I'll have some dozer work to do.

I'm letting all the oil settle overnight and will go try to start it in the morning.

Richard, did ya ever get that digital camera? ;D
I can change my profile okay. No errors. If you can,t remove all the extra info in other fields and try.

No Jeff, no digital camera yet. I had one of those throw away cameras in the pickup, I didn't get it out though.

Got it started and down off the mountain, now it's back to work Monday. I didn't even scratch the paint worse than it was.

Heres a pic of my forwarder flipped.  I was out changing a hose on my harvester when I heard too many logs hit the ground.  I knew exactly what that sound was.  I hopped up on a stump to see Josh raging mad.  All I could do was laugh.  It was his first time.  Luckily on these new TimberJacks, only the bunk goes. The cab stayed up.  It was a nice thing to learn, you know what I mean?  It took my 1270d and a D6 dozer to flip the bunk back over.

I guess you have to have a sense of humor in the logging business. :D Maybe the next generation will have a self righting mechanism. ::) Tell your guy that it's the best time to grease it. ;)

I'm glad this thread was brought back up. The job I have my forwarder on is about wrapped up, so the machine is for sale. I want an Iron Mule or something similar that is smaller. Send me a message if you're interested.
