treatment of black locust decking?

hello all,
Just got done with some stairs off of my back porch.  I used 1x6x 8ft black locust decking....pre drilled and screwed down with some fancy star drives(only broke 4 of 100).  I bought 6x6's from the circle mill and then had them re cut on the band mill.  this stuff was first cut at the circle mill in april of this year.

Any thoughts on treatment?

I have always been a fan of boiled linseed oil that I then heat just a little bit before applying.  they might be a bit slick at first, but I am thinking they would not be slick over time.  again, any thoughts?  I have only used the boiled linseed oil for furniture, so this may be new territory.

for anyone interested, these boards cost me about $3 each, plus cost of transport.  the resawing went so well, that i had almost 250 sqft cut for another project.

   Hey Andy,
   Not much help on the linseed oil thing,don't know how it will stand up to uv,and weather. The locust on the other hand; Dad built a fence with locust post in 1948,all but 2 original post are still there and in good shape. I broke one with the tractor as a kid,one burned when a little trash fire got too hot.
   Locust will probably last about 5 years longer than God.
