Mine handles a 24" like a dream.

Sure it does, but I'd stay away from the 8-pin with a 24".... :)

I put the 36" bar that came with my 395XP on my 372xp with the modded muffler full skip. It did not like it. It cut withoiut bogging too bad but you coukdn't lay into it like I like to do. I agree it is too much bar for the 372 and the 372 is my favorite saw.

I have a 32" with a full skip on my 372XP, ported exhaust, runs great.
