Antique Square head jointer, 12"**SCRAPPED**

OK, old, old rare (no other large machines know in exsistence from this manufacturer) Elliot & Sturtzman, Williamsport, Pa. USA. Cast into base. OWWM guys know of none other out there, only some advertisments from the turn of the century, of smaller equipment. I will be scraping it soon if there are no takers. Babbit seems fine, not sloppy. No motor, flat belt driven.  $350

Save a hand, scrap it  :)

It actually should go into a museum for industrial history in the Willaimsport area. I may try to contact the Chamber there next week. It is hard, I tried to DONATE a fully intact pre 1880's tenoner from Pittsburgh, most likely from just after the Civil war boat building that went on in the Lawerenceville section of town, as the address cast into the base was Liberty Street, which is now know as Liberty Ave. IT had the original paint and pinstriping, quite a find actually, again, only known machine from this manfacturer E.B. Cochran and Sons. I contacted the Hienze History Center (makes sense right?) WELL, was informed if it wasn't SPORTS related, they WEREN'T interested. FIGURES, nothing like pushing sports down our throats, I was miffed, ended up giving it to a client/ friend to keep in there "tool collection/ small museum" 50 miles east of Pittsburgh. At least it will be saved for posterity.

How long is the bed? and How much do you think it weights?
Do you have a way to load it on a flatbed?

Sorry, it was "broke down" three days ago and went out to the scrap yard today.
