For you fans.  Survivor is on right now. 8) 8)

Mooseherder

And then my cable went out. :D

Together we got this !

metalspinner

I think they should just dump them all on an island until they ask to get off.  The last one standing wins. No games or backstabbing.  Just get out their and survive.
I do what the little voices in my wife's head tell me to do.

 zzzz_smiley I can't stand to watch it.  :D :D

AHH one of my favorites!
It is a weird group.
Should have voted Ginny out first then GC or the gamer kid. Both sat while the rest were digging.

I tried to watch, but less than 10 minutes and I couldn't wrest my mind from thinking how similar this was to professional wrestling, and how unreal it seemed...with the acting, the obvious camera crew involved with their props, and the director setting the stage. The repeats for the right effect must be endless. The clothes they wear are of interest, as they must work hard to get them in that condition. ;D ;D

But I tried...just can't wrap my mind around it, nor see the draw that affects others. No offense to those who enjoy it.  :) :)

Raider Bill

No offense taken by me. It's just entertainment.
I started watching it from the start. I knew one of the original players.
Did anyone notice the teacher that seems to have several differnt bow ties on last night?
I preferred the ship wreck starts when you have whatever you wore when the ship went down.

I cracked up last night when they were trying to start the fire by hitting bone against steel.

I love survivor. :) Its not about the surviving, its about watching the human interaction.  Don't take offense to this, but its a little similar to watching the forum. Here we have thousands of souls interacting and you never know where those interactions will lead.

I hope they never do it in a cold climate. I like the costumes for warm weather. :)

I am with the Boss.  The human interaction with the stress of minimal food really shows character or the lack of it.  Sure, some of it is staged, but not the part about the physical challenges and the lack of three square meals a day.  Some of the more non-descript players turn out to have the most class and grit.

We missed most of the first hour with cable going off and on.  It was coming back on during commercials. >:(
This is one show we have always enjoyed and always look forward to it's return.  We were counting down the days, then got to miss the beginning, but did get the last hour in. ;)
Not sure who I like yet. :D
I think a Survivor North would be awesome also.  It would mix things up a bit.

moonhill

Yes, the politics of it all, here on the forum as well.  It would be a better show if the politics were left out of it.  Then maybe it wouldn't be a show the masses would watch.  My brother collects the videos, I have only seen a few, no TV to watch, I got a laugh at the fellow that fell into the fire and had to be removed from the show, that was a while back.  What was he thinking sitting in the smoke like that?   Tim
This is a test, please stand by...

Raider Bill

Pretty boring last week. Like to see GC get bounced. ;D

He looks like a quitter.  The women compete harder in the challenges than him.  His attitude is also irritating.

We would have a problem. :D
He'll get voted off because he is too abrasive.

Raider Bill

Any of the physical challanges he has been in he gave up from the first one. They should have voted him off second after Gillian who should have been first.

I can't watch that Survivor   :-\   Tell the truth the only survivor I ever liked watching , included a movie star , a proffesor , a millionnaire and his wife , a farm girl from Kansas , a skipper and of course that star of the show Gilligan ....  ;D

Now that was surviving .  :D :D :D :D

I am definitely rooting for Sugar. Cute as a button, genuine, and sharp.

I think she's playing Ace like a harp  ;D

My prediction for the week, b-bye Ace.

Betcha a quarter?

Poor Sugar. :D
She just got sent back to exile island for the 5th time.

But she is still in the game! 8) I like sugar.

At least she gets to eat fruit there.  She looks to be in better shape than the others of her tribe as a result.  Interesting move she made tonight to blindside old Ace.

Greg

Pretty good coupla weeks, if you ask me ;-)

First Ace, now Marcus.

The cherry on top would be if Randy get the ax next week.

Can you tell, I root for underdogs?

My favs to see go far:

1. Sugar
2. Kenny
3. Bob
4. Matty

Greg

Roxie

Oh No!  Not Marcus!   :D

I was watching last night while they were having the picnic, then they drew numbers and made new tribes.  THEN, Cowboy Bob came rushing in and changed the channel because the PBR (bull riding) Finals from Las Vegas were on.

I never got to say goodbye.......

I have no idea about the characters in the show, but that short description reminded me of Dustin Hoffman in the movie "Papillion" for some reason. ;D

I like Survivor and was so glad that Bob won.  It is about time that some one won who did play the game and could make fire and find food.  Then to compete with people half his age and KICK SOME BOOTTIE was great to watch.  I enjoyed this run more then any other.
ARKANSAWYER

Warbird

Hmmm.  Hearing you guy's description of the winner, I kind of wish I'd watched this one.  We got pretty jaded with 'reality' shows because it was the furthest thing from reality.  Glad to hear someone deserving won this round.

Jeff

I think people get confused on what Survivor is really about. Its not about surviving the elements. Its about surviving the game.

That sure is true, and this game had it all!  Who would have believed that Crystal and Ken (who originally would do NOTHING), would make it so far?  The blindsides on this series were amazing!  Randy presenting a fake idol was just karma come home to roost.

Was it just me, or did anyone else think that Bob's wife seemed blind?

Say when

WDH

Now that you mention it, I can see ( :)) what you say.

This time, there was no stand-on-one-foot-for-hours type of challenge at the end.  57 year old Bob caught a break.  I am glad that the deck was not stacked against the older people who tend not to have the same level of natural balance as the young whippersnappers.

Brazil should be interesting.  I am already reqady for it.
