Built a skidsteer quicktatch framework to fit the farmi winch which was 3 point hookup n pto driven.
I purchased the farmi from Furby about 4 years ago.

I purchased a hyd. motor from Eggimann this past spring to drive the pto shaft. Built the motor mount and got it up n running just after the pig roast.

I welded some ears to the boom of the skidsteer for the third link to hook to.

She works very nice.

Thanks to Furby for the winch and loading the short movie.
Thanks to Eggimann for all their support in their hyd.dept.

looks awesome!  One thing I'd do is make a big cage to protect against a snapped cable....

Neat-O!

Farmi now sells a winch designed specifically for a skidsteer.

Just pull up to it, hook up, and go.

Nice mod there Stump jumper.

Good to see it in action too. For a moment, I was thinking about how long the cable was... ;D ;D ;D

I was debating with myself about whether it was worth it, and searching the used equipment ads for years for a used Farmi 351 or similar. Never could find one. If people around here own one, they sure aren't getting rid of them. I finally decided to take the plunge when I got in with a group of landowners who had use for it. All the waiting cost me, since the price of steel shot up in the mean time.

If you are in the market now, the price of steel is plummeting, which is in your favor. Unfortunately, in our area, the dealers are having record years in selling logging winches to landowners, so that will probably keep the price up for a while.

anybody use a Wallenstien winch?  I'm looking at buying one.  They are a little cheaper than the farmi and they are made locally.http://www.embmfg.com/

That's awesome! You need to bring that a little south and try it out.

nice job
what kind of horsepower and GPM is the hydraulic motor rated for?

Kubota L4400, Farmi 351

Motor is capable of 45 hp with gobs of torque.  I matched the motor to the skidsteer flo-rates the best I could for a match which the skidsteer is capable  26 gpm with a maximum rotation speed 640 rpm which my target speed was 540 rpm.

My first idea would have been to shoot it down with some FF friends with their big guns.  But I needed the stump out also.   :D

This was a pretty tough root ball  ;D
