No pics, but I did close in the front wall before the downpour. Guess I need to do the roof..it leaks like
a seive.

I guess I'll go ahead and do the other three walls, I can get them up pretty quick.

awright...I promise i'll get some pics in a few days...if I can find the bloody camera...

I've sheathed it (verticle boards, just took the battens off the mill..I'm on union break..) got the
1st and 2nd story floors in and finished..drying now, new roof up (THAT sucked.) new doors built and on, and I am getting ready to start the trim and battens here in a few minutes ans soon as my BBQ beenie weenies settle a bit...

My wife and neighbors are blown away..and I'm pretty tickled...it's a great satisfaction to me to have rescued a 100 year old structure without the aid of modern lumber industry..(besides, all the boards fit) and knowing where the trees stood that are in the building now...all within five miles of home..no stolen Russian timber or suchlike...

I luvs my Woodmizer.

Still want an LT-40 tho'...

The neighbors high school senior scooted over today and asked if he could help me out...sure thing!
Can always use an off bearer...

So i taught him how to run the mill and load and set up a log to cut...taught him a little about how
to guesstimate how much lumber would come out of the log..didn't go into Doyle or Scribners..just
direct estimate with the bd ft scale on a framing square..he got interested in the square and what kind of stuff could be done with it...so I showed him some of the basics..(Thank you Jim Rodgers!)

then I let him bust up a log...wanna talk about a happy teenager..we cut out all the battens and some trim boards for the smokehouse, and he stuck around and helped me batten three sides of it..

Good kid too..he's not one of the ones out causing trouble somewhere...

Morning all. Can't have to much air. Trenched the service under ground to keep from hanging it. While the trench was open dropped 350# pvc 3/4" for water, 1" for air and 1" conduit for close circuit monitoring. The lines leave the shop and go to the mill, the tractor shed then to the yard shed and finally to the site for the new garage. Various size air tanks and check valves at each location. Should of done it 29 years ago. Chuck
