Howdy,

Anyone have any ideas for getting 2 feet of track for an MD 127?

I'm putting the mill on an old RV trailer frame and don't have enough room for my 6 foot track extension.  A 2 foot extension would let me max out the trailer deck.

Thanks,
Scott

Scott, for 2' I'd buy the same size steel its made of and weld the extension ,and bolt or weld it on.Frank C.

Frank,

Me too, if I knew how to weld.  My neighbor has been really generous with welding brackets on the trailer and small repairs, but I think having him weld a section of track might be pushing it.  So far I've been trading firewood (log slabs) for his time.

I have the same problem with my 1987 MD 128, I'm going to extend the trailer frame, the four feet, the axles on the travel trailer frames are so far back it won't be an issue.  Welding up a track from scratch can be a tricky affair.

Scott,in that case I'd call MD they may have a section kicking around with one end bad or bent and could cut you a 2' piece.frank C.
