I wish someone would explain to me why the guide rollers wear to a taper. Just doesn't make any sense to me. But I will testify that they do and it can drive you nuts trying to align the mill so it cuts correctly. I was about ready to junk my ole lt40 when I accidently discovered the tapered rollers. Marty, you say 1000 hour life, would you believe 6000 hours on mine before I found the problem. With flat rollers and everything aligned properly, now I can push a blade through knotty pine until it gets so dull it just won't cut, still no wavy lumber...

6000 hours, that is great.  :o Were they smothe no groves? I have some here that are pretty worn I show when we do a maintenance seminar. Maybe I will attempt to post some pictures.  ::)
