Hi everyone,

I have been running a three head Extrema moulder for over five years.  This moulder does Ok in my opinion(having no experience with other molders) but is very time consuming having to straight edge both sides and plane the bottom before running the material on the moulder.  I am thinking of buying the Wood-Mizer 5 head moulder which would prevent me from having to plane the bottom side of  the lumber before moulding.  I realize I would still have to straight edge at least one side of the rough lumber before moulding but thats still much better than what Im currently doing.  Does anyone have any experience with Wood-Mizer moulders and what advice would you give concerning the type heads to buy. ie indexable carbide teeth, corrugated knives, replacable carbide knives, etc...
