Brad_bb,

The traffic over this bridge will be no more than pickup trucks and UTV's.

I was planning on a total of six poles three on each side, essentially centered underneath where the vehicles tires would be and grouped together. Staying at 12 ft. wide, it would 1 ft. of overhang on both sides, the three poles approx. 30'', and a span of 54'' in between the poles in the middle (rough numbers). If I was to add a 6X8 underneath, at 90 degrees to the poles, and attached with u-bolts over the top wouldn't that add strength and share the load more with all the poles?

At the moment, I have my gabions in place and have the forms in place for the concrete. Before I pour concrete, I need to finalize the design.

This is kind of the direction I'm going. Your help is much appreciated.

Best regards, Al
