"A Tree Story" by G. Beranek - a good read
« on: July 23, 2009, 11:57:41 AM »
Any of you ever read a A Tree Story by Gerald Beranek?

Lately, I've been doing a lot of forest and tree related reading, and got through A Tree Story a second time.

The chapters are in .pdf format on a CD. There are a ton of photos. One of my favorite parts is where he is up on this big honkin redwood cutting the top half off, and his retreat is the adjacent tree.

The recreational climbs are interesting too.

Excellent book, I've had it for quite a while now.
I do need to get this latest book though.
