I don't kow who to ask so I'll ask here.  Is there a way to download videos from youtube?  There are some I'd like to save and watch on the TV instead of the small screen.

Yes you can but it is not legal, therefore I cannot tell you how to do it.  Sorry.

Just do a search on google and you'll find programs that will do it.

Be careful on what you find in the google searches. Make sure you have some pretty good security. Up to date window's fixes, and anti-virus software. Many of the type of programs out there that will do that for you are infested with "things." Not all, but a significant number. They prey on people that want to do things like that.

I've had two recent attacks on my computer via website searches for seemingly harmless topics then visiting websites in the returns. One was when I was looking for information on grow shiitake  mushrooms and the other searching for home made lapidary saws. Both were legitimate sites that had been compromised by hackers placing "drive by downloads" on their web servers. I wasn't effected as my anti-virus alerted me as soon as I clicked on the site, but the one was tricky enough that I could not get out without killing the browser.
