Crabapples

I was just wondering if all crabapples are edible? There are a few trees here at the school that are loaded with them, and I thought they would make some good jelly or what not. Very bright red skin, with equally red meat, quite sour. Any thoughts ??? I hope these are okay, I already ate one :D

There's only one wild apple you shouldn't eat.
It has a very bright red skin, with equally red meat, and is quite sour.
If you ever eat one of these by mistake you better strap yourself to the toilet for a couple of days.

quite actually.......ever have crapapple jam
best on homemade biscuits..........
it true form the are actually sour......but add enoujh sugar and touch of cinn..........makes the finest jam

My mother would can them with spices, Many times I wish for a crab apple tree.
