All truth passes through three stages:
   First, it is ridiculed;
   Second, it is violently opposed; and
   Third, it is accepted as self-evident.

Paul, I do not envy you in havint to try and get a herd of cattle across a ditch of any kind.  I drove 500 head of cattle across the John Day River, in Eastern Oregon, once and that was no picnic, even on the first of July.   :-/ I can just imagine the task you folks had . ;D Glad all ended safe and well.  That mention of fresh baked bread and butter just about got me to get in the ol' F450 and headed North. 8)  I will have to see if I can get Allice to bake some for  me. :-X  She'll probably tell me to go  North old man. ;D

Heya Paul,
Been busy building an expansion to my mill deck/roof and havent been watching the news lately. Cept tonight, boy you guys sure got it. Two deaths and two missing, its a shame. Hope it lets up. We usually get it up here(Terrace) bigtime in the fall but it seems to have headed south this year.  Floods suck. :'( :'( Hope it doesnt mess you up although from the pics, looks like youve suffered already. Wish there was somthing I could do for ya.....Hang in there.

Good to hear things are letting up a little for ya Paul, like Frank the thought of fresh baked bread made my stomache grumble.

Your story about the cows reminded me the time my brother and I lassoed one of our steers. Boy was he pi$$ed, but not half as much as my dad when he came home and found one of his steers dragging his favorite lasso around.
