But for me, that was many, many years ago.  Back when I ran barefooted, I knew within a few hundred yards where every quail covey was on the place.  I  took the hunters from covey to covey.  We always had quail and hot biscuits that night.   digin1 food3

You said it !!!  That was the reason that I always had those coveys spotted.  I knew that there was a lip smacking meal coming.  And I didn't have to clean them.   :)

I talked with the landowner/customer this morning about hearing that quail whistle.  He said that there were several coveys on his property.
