Too Much Bar Oil

my cs600-p dumps out the bar oil and i love that. i love my stihl saws,but the new model are very stingey w/bar oil. 1.5 tanks of fuel to 1 tank of bar oil is unacceptable! i feel it should be 1:1 ratio.

I always figured it was intentional that you run out of fuel before you run out of bar oil. A 1:1 ratio would run the risk of running your bar dry if the oil happened to flow a bit faster than usual.

I believe it is intentional, and there should be some margin of safety as well, for different kinds of bar oil.

When people put a larger than original oiler on their saw, they risk messing up the "tank balance", so they better keep an eye on it.
