Bill - i can and will blame the chaisnaw, was probly the silly bugger that didnt take the 25" bar off to trim 4" brnaches fault thow.

I'd blame the saw too!  If'n it was a swede saw, prolly wouldn't have happened ;) ;)
Seriously though Weisey, you have lucked out so far.  Maybe one of you blokes needs to invent warm weather safety gear?  That would be a real "hot" item for sure!  Nice whack of logs, you will be busy for a while wittlin' them down to size 8) 8)

Tnx for the welcome Chris, On the Redgum log I used a 50" r series cutting from both sides, then had to use a 72" roller nose to finish the cuts, a pity though I was contracted to cut it up for firewood (  just over 50 ton ), on the larger dia section of the log I could have cut slabs 25ft long x at least 6 ~ 7 ft wide, birdseye as well ! It's a bit of a sore point between me and the fella I did the cutting for.

Ironwood

Personally I like ctting in shorts. I was cutting in shorts a few years back w/ a 6' bar (flattening a stump for a table base), the saw was revving down as the bar went horizontal (bending/ flexing) and the chain came off and proceeded to wrap it'self around my leg as it stopped :o :o

Gday Carl

I was talking to Al about it the other day  ;) I will have to confirm orders but they said will take 2 semi loads plus a month of structural posts & beams @ $1100 m3 I have contact with afew others that will pay upto $1600 for smaller sizes ie 10x2 star treads , Building and furniture sizes GOS that would be mixed semi load orders  Fencing grade 6x2 Ironbark rails and 6x6 n 8x8 posts run at about $11 to 1200 m3 for direct sales to fencing contractors   ;) I can arrange back loading out of Brissy for about $80 a m3 on a Mates trucks  ;) ;D

With organizing large or ongoing orders though I would either want a 5% commission Or 25% to 30% Milling Work at about $440 too $550 a cube sawn if your happy with a deal like that  Mate ???

Yourself Allan and I will have to arrange a good chat  and and nut out something that would suit Us all You have the Logs I have the Sales and We all have the gear to do the job  ;) ;D 8)
