Norm,
That is incredibly awesome  8) 8) 8)

Congrats on the new toy!  That baby looks like it will make quick work of just about any snowstorm that comes your way!

Do you have a cab on your tractor?  I told my wife that the first thing I buy when I can upgrade to a cab tractor is gonna be a snowblower.

I'm jealous of that bad boy  ;D

...although, my little tractor probably can't even lift that baby up, let alone run it  :D :D

One of the best things I did to my tractor for playing in the snow, was wire in a controller to run my heated motorcycle gear.  I just throw on my jacket and gloves and turn the temp control up.  It's cozy as can be....without a cab anyway.  ;)

It does have a cab Piston with am/fm radio so you can tell I'm really roughing it out there.  :D

I bought this tractor back in 01 when we bought our farm, it's the first one I ever owned with a cab.

SwampDonkey

We had a light dusting, 1/2" on Friday night. It's melting away now, going to be in the 40's and rain for 3 days.  ;)

Well for once we were on the right side of the front. Ours came as mostly rain and only an inch of snow.

I can't believe I'm looking forward to a big blizzard.  :D

Working on my plow mount for a 9' Meyers on my truck, I am tired of being IN the weather while plowing. I will let my 9 year old run the Gator with 6' Meyers and I will be in the truck CAB.

Just came in from a couple hours of plowing. Pickup with heat and radio are nice to have.

Ironwood

60 degrees and sunny, PLEASE keep the snow at your place.  ;)

Norm I was hoping the weather man was heading that storm towards you but we got the snow you wanted. If you wish for that white stuff again, make sure you are more specific on location. We got three or four inches of that stuff.  :)

Can't burn wood when it's that hot.
Sounds like some good energy savings again this year.

Here is my "out of the weather" truck/plow with a 6000lb of "counterweight" on the back.

Yeah, everything is covered in ice here after yesterday.  ;D I had the ashes pale and the salt out around the yard with my caulk boots on. ;D

I keep 4 ton of pea sized gravel here and some sand. I spread it thru a salt spreader. Stays on top and doesnt melt thru and effect my pavement or gravel. Works pretty good. Been doing it for about 8 years.  Also, chains for just about everything with a wheel :D

Safe-T salt doesn't hurt anything, nor ashes. Used ashes for decades, just makes the grass grow quicker on the path next year. ;D ;)

My issue with salt is that it can melt thru an ice layer and do nothing for you other than create a hole in the ice. The gravel lays there and does you some good. I have a mile of drive to do, so i dont wanna throw too much $$ at the drive. Gravel works well.
