This is just a simple designed splitter built by a simple man with simple ideas .It's basically just  bunch of junk I had on hand save a few pieces I had to buy .

Over kill on the beam which is a W12-72 meaning 72 pounds per foot .5 inch Parker -Hannifin super duty ,4500 PSI rating ,freebie .

16 GPM double stage pump set low at 2200 PSI relief .11 HP electric start Briggs IC engine

8 inch pipe for the hydraulic tank/axle with  Ford Escort rear spindles and tires .

It does fine about 8-10 gallons of auto tranny fluid in the tank with a discharge filter ,doesn't get hot no matter how long you use it .It will split just about anything you put in it,sideways if you want . It can be stalled which I could set the relief up to 3000 too if I wanted to.As it is I'd just as soon stall it which happens seldom rather than tear something up .

Couple more picture ,don't want to load it up too much .

If I wanted to this thing has enough grunt I could use a 4 way or 6 way for that matter .Seeings I usually work by myself with a multi wedge it could split it faster than I could mow it away anyhow . I built this the

contraption to save me work not increase it . ;)

Okay a few more .I'm so tickled I finally learned how to post pictures I can't quit . :D

The pump ,valve and adaptor was purchased though an on-line supplier I choose not to mention  ;) They work just fine all US made .

I may have junk keeping around but don't have the smarts to put it all together and make it work without spending a month on it re doing something because I did not think of that.

Oh you always think of something else after the fact.  As a matter of fact I too will do some improvements on this one some day .

I think I've done some work on 4 maybe 5 splitters in my life time .The next one is going to be a large cylinder reversable quick detach to go on a New Holland Skid loader .That one most likely will be a 6 inch cylinder  to break down big oak rounds .TNT Dave is trying to find me a mounting plate or at least he's on the lookout for one .
