I am not a beach person, but spending a few days at Gulf Shores, Al. probably will not hurt me. They do have a couple of Tool Stores in Foley. ;D

I don't worry about fitting in with the latest beach wear, usually just stand out like a sore thumb. Reminds me went we went for our annual 3hr pilgramage to the coast a couple of years ago, parked my ute near the breakwall to go fishing, an old local came along and said there's another ute further up with dust like yours on it....sure enough out on the breakwall fishing was a property owner I know from home and his boys.

No fishing on this trip. Looks like it is after the 1st of June before before these boats go out. Maybe not enough people yet or something?

They will have a "band thing" this weekend but we will be gone. They are erecting huge stages everywhere and will shut the street off. It's supposed to be the big event of the year.

Some of the folks wearing pink must not like it because they don't (wear) very much of it. :D :D

My family and I are going to Destin 1st week of July for a little R&R. I booked a fishing trip with my friend Capt George on July 3rd. Magic, boats not running may be because Red Snapper season is closed until 1 June in Destin area, not sure about the area where you are. Capt George runs the "Checkmate" out of Harborwalk Marina by the bridge on the west end of Destin.

Willie, I found out that you are right about the snapper season. No fishing until June 1st. That is why the boats are not going out.

I had a nice morning at the tool stores. PatD is going to all of the others. ;)

We decided to do nothing this afternoon, and I am not feeling guilty. I sawed 5155 bf of framing lumber Saturday and Monday plus some Cherry, and will be out of town on an ERC job next week. He said over 100 tree length logs. :-\

R&R is good.

We've vacationed in Gulf Shores several times........the whole clan ('bout 10 of us). I love it and am envious. We rent a house of the beach; if I were rich........... 8)

The "Hangout Music Festival" is this weekend, which is an annual blowout for this area and the lady downstairs said that every room is booked. Thankfully, we leave in the morning.

PatD and I will take the RV and a couple of Grandsons to the local State Park Lake tomorrow for a few days. All of my fishing gear is at the Cabin, so we will just hang out and watch the kids.

I do not believe that I even have an unread magazine to carry.

Magicman of all the memories I have of my grandparents fishing is the one that always comes to mind first. My wife and I sneak away to a little lake every chance we get that Granny and Grandpa used to take me to all the time, enjoy you're time with those kids, I guarantee someday they'll be sitting by that lake telling their kids...I remember when grandpa used to bring me here....
