Daft question, how much lifting power  do i need.

The aim, cutting up to 40ft beams out of trees.

Trees are not real big where i live. Average butt size, 24">32" Mostly larch.

I know the usual specific weight of the species i'm intrested in. But that's dry weight.  How much slow growth and being wet adds?

Let say, a 32 inch 40' larch weights around 2.3 metric tons dry. Any idea it might weight when freshly cut?
