Trying figure out what model is this poulan chainsaw and how big of bar I can use on it. I thought it was 3700 but the starter pulley is different on mine compared to the 3400/3700 counter vibe that pictured on ebay. This saw needs a new starter pulley but its NLA . 530010674 subs to 530026371

IT looks like the exact one that is one of my personal favorites in my parents collection only theirs is black and grey and branded a craftsman.

I can say for certain that its early 80's. Guessing 80-85.
One at my parents house holds a 20 in bar.    It has cut hundreds of full chords over the years! And still rips good.

Is it a 3700 or 4000 model?

I Cant remember, its 30 min drive one way from here.
If I called my mother she would have NO idea.
Digging around on the internet it appears to be a 3700 or 3800
I knew it was in that 60cc range.  And if I remember it has a H78 chain on it too
(same bar and chain as my craftsman 917)

It has a the rarer NLA 3700 recoil pulley.  Has 3700 muffler by looking at pic.

My 4000 was thin ring piston with chrome bore. Look at your piston see if you got thick rings, thin rings, chromed piston or bare aluminum piston.
