Here is a Sinker Cypress that I sawed.  The vertical lines are the LubeMizer pulsing.  The log was gritty and I was doing everything that might help the blade.

And here is what was inside.

I thought that also MM. Got it from the swamp behind the house.

Its a Silvey timber jack, use it in big wood, you can do a lot more with it than you can with wedges!

Walnut with pre-designed metal inlay (fence wire).  Some thoughtful person applied this wire inlay 40 years ago, and nobody wanted it but me.  Go figure.  Love bi-metal blades!

Is that another sinker log?
If it can't be nailed or glued then screw it

Jemclimber

Hey Magic,  Does that willow get milled or put up rough? Very pretty. Most think willow is a junk tree, but I think it's beautiful and perfect for ceiling and paneling. Beautiful and light. Do you have any pictures of the finished product or is this for one of your customers that you didn't get to see the end of the project. Thanks for the nice pictures everyone.

Not a sinker, but a floater.  When the Mississippi River is flooded, the customer will retrieve floating logs and corral them at a location by roping them to trees.

I am sure that the lumber will be planed & T&G, etc. before being used in the customer's home.

This Black Willow was fresh felled and not floaters.

Slider, that's an awesome log ;D  I might have access to about 30 white pine trees like that. Lookin' forward to skidding them out with the jd and sawing them up 8)

mesquite buckeye,Yup,He asked me for a special walnut log and I dug it out of my stash pile that I keep on hand for just this reason.I have not gone through my Walnut pile yet,but I just went through my Cherry piles and trimmed the ends and put them into one pile to keep track of them.

They sometimes get thrown onto the firewood processor and get cut up for firewood. (I hate when that happens :D) Here is a picture of some Walnut piles

With some other cherry logs in there too! I need to organize a little better ;D. Tim

Heading to the farm in May. Hope to get some milling done...

I hate to leave logs sitting. They can go funky before I can get them done. :(
