Waiting on a call........

My dad may have had another stroke! He has had 2, recovered fromm both with no after effects. My mom said his face is drooping on the left side and his left arm is weak.Well just got a call that he gave in and went by ambulance to the hospital. I am off to there now! He is a tuff old bird, cut wood all his life and plowed the town roads in etna,maine! :(

A stroke is nothing to take a "wait-and-see" approach to. It demands immediate action.
I'll say a prayer for him and your family.

Well, i am waiting word from the hospital. His brother called me and said he walked to the ambluance on his own! Things don't sound as bad as the first 2. If things are worse then they seem when he gets looked at i will head right in.

i guess i would still go in, you just never know. i don't think you want to carry that burden should have could have but didn't.
my prayers are with you !!

last month my fil felt dizzy and had back pain so they took him to the e.r. he said "i'm fine" don't worry about cominng in its all right.later that day we started planning his funeral. :( he didnt die alone... the chaplin was with him.

Cat scan showed a small bleed on the brain.

Daughter just called, they put him on meds to lower blood pressure, doctor said it was not a serious stroke!!!!!!!! They have him in icu till they get his blood pressurec down! If anything takes a turn they will call me and i will be in there ! THe bleed is to small to operate on.So far so good!!

They make tough ones up there. But nobody's tougher than a stroke. I'm praying for him.

Well, went in and spent some time with him. Seems to be ok. I don't think he will have any loss of his arm when he gets out. 3rd time it has happened. LUCK IS ON HIS SIDE!

Got a call at 2:30 from my sister,says they want us in there! need to make some desions. Drove like a mad man back in! Thought it was all over but it was my drama queen sister all wacked out on pills and coffee brandy! All they did was call her cause she NEEDS to know everything that goes on! They are only doing a thing to check the pressure onn his brain. When i left they had security watching her not my dad! He is doing good! Blood pressure is under controll . The bleed is a lottle bigger but they said it stopped growing after the meds took affect! I gave the doctor my number to call me, not the pill heads number!!!!!!

Me and my wife are making a big desision tonite! Either way i am paying for my mom and dad till the end, I want to close down there house and let bthem live in the first floor of mine! It can be made wheel chair vready in a short while. My house is 28x42 ,2 full storys with only me and the wife left home! 2 bedrooms down stairs, kitchen , bath living room , Up stairs has full bath 3 bedrooms , landury room , big living room!!!! No one using the upstairs! Me and the wife could make a move! Like the Jeffersons, we could be moving on up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It seems that most of us have some family drama and are putting someone else's welfare ahead of our own. We have been faced with a situation for over two years. At the present time, I have no idea how it is going to work out, I just know that it will.

Spent most of the day with him, I think he will come out ok again! He has limited use of his left arm and leg! Lots better then trhe first two!

Just got back, He can squeeze your hand a little, and speech is alot better. Got more movement in his leg too! One tough old bird!! Thats what 50 years of logging will do !!! ;D
