I use Mozilla Fire Fox. It did a update yesterday and now when I click on a link either in emails or web sites it doesn't do anything.
Should and used to go to that linked page automatically.
Probably a setting but I can't find it.

Any Ideers?

That's what I would suggest to try first and reboot your computer. Sometimes that is the answer to many a problem.  :)
I can change my profile okay. No errors. If you can,t remove all the extra info in other fields and try.

Yup.  I have lots of ideas.  Ideas to solve the electricity crisis, food problems, etc, etc.  However, regarding your issue...  ;D

What OS are you using?

ps.  Regarding one of the suggestions in that link, be careful hacking the registry if you're running Windows.  Always backup the registry first.

I think there is a setting you can change to where you have to double-click links instead of single click, not sure where though, I haven't used Firefox in a year or two.

pps.  If you're running Windows 7, this is probably your ticket (also from the above URL):

QuoteI want to thank you all for your responses and help with my problem. Eureka! I have found the answer (mostly by accident, I might add). It has to do with protocols in Windows 7, something different from XP. In order to open links in e-mails, etc., when Firefox or browsers other than the default browser, Internet Explorer (thanks Bil Gates), you must, in addition to selecting Firefox as your default browser, also change your Windows 7 'program protocols'.

This is accomplished by going to "Control Panel", select "Programs", select "Default Programs" and select "Associate a file type or protocol with a specific program". When the list of file extensions appears scroll to the end of the list to "Protocols" and change the FTP, HTTP and HTTPS protocols from Internet Explorer to Firefox or what ever browser you are using or want. You may also change the default programs for the other protocols also if you want. I hope this puts this issue to bed for good.

Thanks Guys! got it working now. Actually it was Mal-ware bytes that I upgraded this morning not mozilla. [My sumtimers kicked in... ] which started the problem. I dumped the cache, defrag was up to date ran disk clean and rebooted. Now it works.
