Okay, I'll be the idiot and ask the stupid question since it's killing me. What's a Yooper?

Back in 1968 I was in da Army with a bona fide  Yooper.
He would say,''I'm Rene' J. Robitaille from Escanaba in The U.P.!''
Make no mistake about the boy was proud and he could strut like a rooster. He weren't no ordinary man.Of course the U.P. ain't ordinary at all, they got their own special language and food groups as well.
I'm sure glad the yoopa visited my computah, brings back good memories and new stories to boot.

First Saturday in August. Great time and well worth the trip.

My advice on aging gracefully... ride fast bikes and date faster women, drink good tequila, practice your draw daily, be honest and fair in your dealings, but suffer not fools. Eat a hearty breakfast, and remember, ALL politicians are crooks.
