A few parts saws for sale, Western WA
« on: February 17, 2014, 04:21:23 PM »
Gentlemen,

I've been cleaning out my shop and consolidating my saw collection. Here's some that I am not using or don't need anymore.

^
McCullough Power Mac 6, 16'" bar. Was one of my grand-dad's farm saws. Used it some when I first got it twenty years ago, then part of the muffler fell off and I put it aside. Should run, but haven't tried it in forever. $25

Echo 280E, 11" bar. Another one that should run, but never wanted to idle. Used it some when I used to do a little tree service work a long time ago. $25

^
And finally, a pair of old Stihl 075AVs. I was working on these back when I was trying to put together a good chainsaw milling saw, and I bought these in boxes and put one together. One is complete, and the tag from the saw shop from when I took it in years ago after I couldn't get it to start said "install carb kit, check timing. Still no go." And that's where I left that one. It turns over and is all there, not sure why it won't go, but I can say that in retrospect, the saw shop that worked on it was not a particularly competent one. It may be easily fixable. The other one is a pile of parts, and frozen up. Given the prices people are asking on ebay for side covers and other parts for these, $150 for the pair of them doesn't seem unreasonable.

I'm in SW Washington state and can meet a buyer anywhere between Vancouver and Seattle if I have a little bit of lead time. I am in Olympia two days a week, through mid-April.  I imagine shipping might be a killer, but I am willing to ship via USPS or UPS if you are willing to pay the shipping costs. Trades of tools or firearms considered, but cash or silver at current spot price is preferred. Feel free to make offers.

Looks like it would be two boxes, about 28# each, from zip code 98612 to you.

Gasawyer, figure a box that is about 16-18" on each side or so, and about 23-24# for estimation purposes.
