Jim, I am putting the logistics together now. That way I can pick up a new tape. :D

ok, I've got a good batch of them now.

And some more coming in today or tomorrow.

I sold 6 last week. And one off an auction site yesterday.

I guess I'll have to go to the office supply store and get another package of erasers.... :D

Still all with openings tell all your friend and relatives who may want to jump in at the last minute.

I assume we'll get directions/logistics via e-mail?

Looking forward to it!

I'll be packing the car today for my trip to New Hill, NC.

There is still room at the workshop for one or two more students if you'd like to join us and learn timber framing up close and personal.

Hope you can make it.

PS. I'm driving down to DC and staying over with my cousin. I'm bringing all the tools we sell so if you want to meet up in the DC area or my other "road stop" in Bridgewater, NJ pm, email or call me right away.

I've been here in NC since Sunday afternoon.

I have been having a great time with four great students and an exceptional host, Scott Smith.

Today, we left a little early to travel a few miles to "Roy Underhill's" shop and visit the tool store over his shop.

I was hoping to meet Roy, but he wasn't around today.
But I did pick up a nice plane for myself and one to sell later on.

Here is a shot of two students with boring machines working on a sill:

As one student was leaving yesterday, we took a group photo. And hopefully Scott will post it here, later.

He is suppose to share all the photos he has taken during the class tomorrow. So maybe I'll be able to soon.

Wanted to say thanks to Jim as a great teacher and Scott as an amazing host.  The class was a blast and I can't stop thinking about wanting to start a new project with the skills we learned.  There was a lot covered in five days, both from a timberframing perspective and grilled meats from Scott and his helper Brett!

I have a lot of pictures but thought I would share this nice action shot!

Whew - what a great class!  Jim is an incredibly knowledgeable instructor, and the class went extremely well.  It was great that Matt, Travis, Jed and Chad could come out and partake, and we all learned a lot.

I'll do a more in-depth writeup and post pix when I get caught up, but just wanted to take a moment to thank Jim for coming down and sharing his knowledge.

Had a blast and learned a lot - That's me "tapping" the frame.   I told my wife calling that a "tap" was like telling a man facing a tidal wave he's about to get a little moist.

Anyway - I'd highly recommend anyone taking a class from Jim.
