Knocker of rocks, we have hydronically heated polished concrete floors for the Basement and Ground floor and looking at some 3/4" hardwood flooring for 1st and loft floors.  We are liking the look of the swamp maple so perhaps we"ll get a job lot and plane it into flooring the wife loves the look.

All the engineering was done by an engineer who specializes in timber structures and old brick and beam industrial buildings. the SIP's are external to the original frame. i know since we started we don't creak like an old boat on windy days anymore.

The SIP's panels have been attached around the whole building on the north side we had a new 6' concrete wall built against the banked side to support the panels and the other 3 sides we bolted on 3 or 4 2x10s to the sill plates of the SIP panels to sit on.  I'll see if i can find a photo later.
