Inventory on the landing
« on: June 07, 2014, 08:31:49 PM »
Got the pine logs hauled last week and now we need to move the pulp.

This pine pulp pile is three rows deep

The other end of the pile

Some firewood and behind are the reject (red rot) logs

Firewood and some small logs that will probably become firewood.

You don't have a bolt wood market? That looks like big pulp

The local sawmill will take very few 8's, there is no market here for short logs, they either go to International Paper in Ticonderoga or to a shavings plant in Kingsbury, NY. Most of what is in the pile is either; too crooked, too many big knots or has red rot.

Today we got 1/2 the pulp hauled.

A dusty landing, big change from a week ago.

Bye Bye!

Also had my firewood buddy pick 5 - 1 cord loads on his dump trailer, he is 80+ and has quite a firewood business, he lives 6 miles from the job and shows up at least once a week, even brings a sandwich at lunch.
