Hi,

I wonder if anyone knows where I can buy a new Kent Pattern Hewing Axe:

i.e. flat one side with a good thick blade. These axes were sold some years ago by Woodcraft but they no longer appear to stock these items for sale on their website. Neither Gransfors Bruks not Wetterlings make a flat side axe and though these are made by Autine I want to buy a number of affordable utility axes that can be used by trainee hewers.

eBay has them all the time.

Council Tool has this 28 inch 2.75 lb axe.

Vaughn has a smaller (and cheaper) hewing hatchet.

I think I have one stuck around somewhere that I never used.  I use an older, wider one.
