Looking for a D360 for my s8a they were in some of the international farm tractors I think

They were in lots of trucks to.check your local truck junk yard

Most of the ones I have found from trucks are DT 360dont think I got room for the turbo

Overtime I believe that the International excavators had those engines the 3964 or 530 model numbers, oh and some Yumbo's .

many years ago i had a 3964 excavator. that motor was tuffer than a bag full of hammers. i had it 10yrs and never turned a wrench on the motor. they run rich and smoke but never really used much oil

my s8 has a 358, i think they will interchange. tractor, 806,826, 856 not sure on the 856.

826 has the D358 Nuess diesel. The 806 is a D361 and the 856 is a D407, both IH engines.

A D360 is slightly different than a dt360 different bore stroke and deck hight. Not that it would matter in you application. A 806 had a D361 an older design engine a 826 had the D358 German diesel and a 856 had a D407

nuess? mine has IH stamped on it, i never heard of nuess before. i know its the german diesel
.i have seen an 806 with a 358........could been swapped?

Nuess is the plant in Germany but it was owned or some kind of partnership with IH I believe. I don't know about the 806 with a 358 I've never heard of one but that doesn't mean anything. I have a 706 with a 310 nuess same as the 358 just shorter stroke. They put the 310s in the later 706 as well as the 756

Our 756 has the 310 Nuess. That 806 would not have had a 358 from the factory, as far as I know.

Combines: Late 453 Hillside
Log Skidders: S8A
Tractors: 766; 886 Thru #14471
Wheel Loaders: 515, H60E

I recently sold my 1956 IH 1ton dump truck. The engine was we called The Black Diamond Six. He was going to remove the engine. He is going to customize the truck with a V8 and 5speed tranny. The engine had low miles and ran great. May what to sale both.

Found a DTA360 in a 1993 truck runs good oil pressure 50psi warm at idle gonna put that in but run it with out the aftercooler talk to a few motor guys they said it should be ok what ya think
