Echo 440 EVL

Is there any difference between a CS 440 and a 440 EVL saw.?? My little yard sale saw is running perfect but I'am used to powerfull big saw and have to be patient and not try to force it. Frank C.

I've never run either but here's what I've read: EVL is older. And means Electronic Vibration Less. If you want a bigger saw, maybe a CS-590 would be a good fit.

the later cs440 is a clam-shell design where the evl is a split crankcase, i own both an echo and john deere version of the 440evl, nice well built saws, but are no power house by any stretch, as suggested above, you might try a cs590, great saw, i own two...........
