small Stihl bar mount question
« on: August 18, 2015, 03:58:43 PM »
Hey all, i was wondering if the small stihl saws with 8.2mm can accept the small mount 8.2 mm husky bar?       from the catalog they look the same or close. maybe drill the oiler hole a lil?

I got my dads lil stihl ms 250 18" i been playing around with and got to wondering what itd feel like with a longer 20-24" bar. which i have but its out on loan currently.

The Oregon K095 bars will work on small Stihl models. Sometimes the drive count on the chain needs to change. My current Stihl 241 is running a 158SLBK095 with 63 drive .325 chain.

I wouldn't put anything longer than the 18 inch on a MS250.

saw_nut, thanks for the info. looking into those.

and this is mainly an experiment just because. im curios to see how this lil saw compares to other 40-45 cc saws ive had. i muffler modded it and the lil guy has noticably more grunt now. dad and i both burried the bar in a 20" fir log and were impressed.  your objection is noted :)
