Gene, I came to the same conclusion. At the very least I'll put triangular plywood gussets on the inside top corners of the north wall. They will cover some of the top of the door opening, but well above the height where boards would be stacked.

Can't use 2x4 for the joists. The main rails of the trailer are 51" on center, too wide to span w/ 2x4 considering the load they'll carry. There is no decking on the trailer itself. The kiln joists will cantilever 12 1/2" over the rails on each side.

Just got home from a shopping trip. Bought the R-Max,Tuftex polycarbonate panels, screws and panel gaskets. $410 dollars lighter....  :-\  I sure hope that there is a market for this....

BTW, the 2'x8' clear polycarbonate panel that HD sells weighs 4.3lbs, the same size Tuftex brand the Lowes carries...... at the exact same price..... weighs 7lbs...

HATE THE DEPOT!  >:(
