planter holder
« on: September 18, 2016, 11:10:27 AM »
made a planter holder for a birthday present for my mom.
red oak legs and trim, barnwood  side panels. 30in h x14x14 .this gives a 12x12 hole for a pot.there are cross slats making the whole 10in deep.

rough cut red oak with diluted special walnut stain.

oak has one coat ploy sealer.barn boards left natural since they are heart pine(pitch rich)

very end pieces of barn board for 2 beveled 45deg.

2 inside cuts for 2 and bottom beveled.

I like the way you rounded the edges on the top. It sort of makes it look like an old ice cooler.  Great job and hello to folks in Ludowici.
