New to woodworking.

Because I have an abundance of sinker cypress, I decided to start making tables. Some tips and pointers will be welcome. Here's a pic of my first couch table.

By sinker cypress, do you mean old logs that have been in the river or lake underwater for decades?  How did you get that?  Did you have a sawer mill it for you?  Looks really good.  Your only limit is your imagination.
Anything someone can design, I can sure figure out how to fix!
If I say it\\\\\\\'s going to take so long, multiply that by at least 3!

Yes. I got my divers certifacation and a good sonar. Then you go hunting. The cypress is by far the prettiest in my opinion.

And yes on someone milling it as well. I had to take it to a fella with a woodmizer.
