I've been thinking about buying a decent hatchet to have with me when I'm out cutting firewood or out checking fences on the fourwheeler ect. I was looking online and see that Husqvarna has a couple. The one I am considering is the #576926401 which has a wooden handle. I see them listed for $32-$40 which is about as much as I want to spend, but I don't mind spending that if it's a good product.

Anyone have one of these? Does it seem like atleast fair quality for the price?

Thanks

All of my Husq hatchets have pull handle on them and a two stroke motor. Didn't know they marketed a manual model.  :D

I didn't know they did either until the other day, in fact to my surprise Husqvarna and Stihl both sell a fair assortment of hatchets, axes, and splitting mauls.

As far as the Husqvarna model that I'm looking at goes, I don't know if they're just outsourced and rebranded with the Husqvarna name, but they're made in Sweden just like their 2stroke variety (chainsaws). :)
