Up here at the cabin we have a hand full of over the air TV channels, one of which is "me tv." It has lots of old shows including Perry Mason twice a day. I'd not seen the show .  In years, but something caught my interest in the last couple shows. The paneling in Perry's office. The show is in black and white, but I'm pretty sure what it might be. I took a picture of the screen last night. What do y'all think it is?

If it was in my area it would be Pecky Cypress.

I've noticed this paneling for years. Really nice.
The older I get I wish my body could Re-Gen.

It seems quite white, on black and white. I was thinking ambrosia soft maple.

It looks a lot like peeled white birch bark that's laminated to a backer board.

I love to get into Pecky Cypress logs.  These would have shown up better if I had removed the sawdust.

The best that I have ever sawn.   ;D

It may be pecky cedar - from incense cedar. Considering PM was filmed in California, and incense cedar is native...

Hard to tell from the images.
Carbon sequestered upon request.
