Boardwalk EZ40 Bandwheel V-belt replacement has turn into a problem. Put urethane v-belts on it and got them on fine, ran a few hours and had a problem where blade took a dive and melted the urethane.

OK, figured I did something wrong so called Stanton and he said B56 belts for that machine. Got Gates B56 on it just now, replaced blade. Belts are too loose on the wheel and I can almost take them off with my fingers when the blade is installed.Read More

Hi all, been sawing for about 12 years or more now. Normally I cut down 5-7 (30+ logs) red pines a year and mill for myself.

The power company is in the process of building a new line so late last fall they cut down a lot of my red pines. Not sure the exact count but some where in the neighborhood if 180 - 8 foot logs. Read More

About 2 weeks ago I had to cut down two trees that were leaning towards structures. Because my sugar bush only has between 6 and up to about 14" of top soil and duff with just sand below that, in high winds i often get blowdowns. With this year's excessive winds so far i've had more trees blow down near my sugarhouse than any other year in the 23 yrs since I built the sugarhouse. I've had 4 trees, hemlocks and dead ash blow down, but fortunately away from the sugarhouse.Read More
