Just curious if the root balls are still intact or whether the trees were snapped off.  Uprooted trees should last longer than snapped off trees. 
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

Well, son has decided on a logger and says they will begin moving in equipment next week. Seems he had a talk with the forester representing this particular mill that is buying the logs and he went to bat for him with the sawmill and got a much better outcome. 

Have to see how the loggers do when all done to ascertain if they leave a huge mess and damage any still standing trees or not.

Here are some pictures of the logging taking place. They've been there for a week today and (to me) seem to be making good progress. Luckily there haven't been any serious rains to make the worksite a bigger mess than necessary. The quality of the logs are very good.
