Hello Everyone!

We have 50 acres in the Catskills, pretty much all woods. There's lots of downed trees, pesky trees (mainly beech that are infected) and some invasive species that need to get pushed out.

The ground is rocky, uneven, mossy in many places...

My question is what would be the best tractor for the job? (I thought about a skid steer, but determined it will not handle this type of terrain). It would be nice to drag logs through the forest if needed/wanted. Read More

It's been years since I have sawn Cross ties and have been contacted by some one that has Logs and want to have us saw. I am set up with a three man operation and can run and yes I fully understand log sizes making a difference. I am just looking for opinions.
