Yes, nice lumber.
The Bobcat must have been after rabbits or squirrels or something in the log pile.

Been a very healthy year for the little bunny rabbits, so that's likely what he was looking for.

The ash is stunning.  What spacing are you using on your stickers with the pine?  Your boards seem to turn out really flat despite appearing to be quite a distance apart.

Yes, ideally there should be more stickers. I tend to run out of stickers, before I run out of boards that need to be stacked... ffcheesy
Pretty much everything I saw is 8' and shorter, and I build my pallets 7' long. Pine 2x's I get by with 3 stickers per row, and actually for the most part it behaves pretty good. Pine 1x's I'll use a minimum of 3, ideally 5. I tend to use a minimum number stacking right off the mill just to keep it from molding. Some of the pine 1x's I will sort into different widths, and will add more then. When I saw hardwood (like with the ash stack) I make sure to use at least 5 stickers per layer.

I'm surprised that black ash isn't more popular than it is. Some of it is nearly as dark as walnut, it is truly beautiful wood. Unfortunately, EAB has made it to the edge of Minnesota's ash range. I understand we have more acres of ash than any other state. It is going to be sad to watch the EAB kill all of it.
