Last post by Crusarius - Today at 02:49:59 PMI usually end up pressurizing the tank on my Zero turn when it loses its prime. Usually only after sitting for a couple weeks.
I have my CO2 tank in the shed next to the mower so when I need to I just cover the filler with a rag and pressurize the tank while cranking.
Works well and starts pretty quick.

In the snake tree their was some off center piths but not terrible like one would expect in a heavy leaner. I do expect to see some stress and will make adjustments. As a maker I can use about anything the log gives me, so not really a handicap to saw less than stable logs.
Doc, Hank read your post and says his tail is in fine condition, probably a lot better than your tail!

Last post by doc henderson - Today at 12:56:20 PMmy line stays primed. but hard to get the air out of the filter and then reattach the line. I may waste a little more time on it. everyone says it works fine. It does, but just seems to be not right.

Last post by lxskllr - Today at 12:43:26 PMRedArmor oil is very red. I'm not sure what it would take to get me to mix different ratios for tools, but my current collection doesn't do it. I would find that highly annoying having to keep track of different jugs for different stuff. I do everything at ~40:1 and call it good. I also use some premix for my lesser used tools. I buy it as backup for my cornfree gas since it's a bit of a hike to get. That gets rotated out to my lesser used tools, and I buy more to keep on hand.

Last post by Old Greenhorn - Today at 12:39:28 PMDoc, I have the same issue, makes me nuts. This is particularly true on my craftsman riding mower. That filter never fills. Also a long line and if the line is empty, cranking the engine does not cause enough vacuum to fill that line. So when it sits for 6 weeks if I try to start it, I just run the battery down. But at full engine RPM it draws up fine. So I just take an irrigation syringe and blast a shot of gas in the carb, it starts and runs and draws fuel and usually once will do it, sometimes 2 times is needed.
But that dang filter never ever fills. It's a mystery.

Last post by Keepfixin - Today at 12:25:19 PMI have to do a edit on the first post. The ratio I've used was 64:1 instead of 75:1. BTW I dont use the 100:1 mix!!! Just mixed it for visual purposes and then added more oil! The reason for 64:1 is because you measure an even 2 ounces of oil and was easy to figure and measure out. But that's only with Amsoil Saber I do that with!!!!!! Run it in my leaf blower, 026, 034 super, 036, and 044. Will run it in my ms260, ms290/390, and ms 440 after break in with the "orange" bottle stihl oil :-) hey if anyone has pictures of mixed fuel in a small glass jar it would be neat to compare. I know the oil subject is touchy but think it would be beneficial to actually see the oil ratio and possibly educate eyes to the right color so they don't accidentally use fuel that's too lean.
