It's a hard pill to swallow for sure. Where I live got hit with a derecho in 2012 and I took a pretty big hit myself only to get hit again a couple of years ago with another so I completely understand.

On the cats and birds topic when I was a kid we had a litter of 3 kittens that were all about half grown. One was solid white, one solid black and one was a black and grey striped tabby. Many times we'd watch them in the yard and the black and white cat would be laying n the sun or going about their business with no problem. The tabby would walk up and the mockingbirds would tear him up. All we could guess was that he looked more like a bobcat and the birds naturally hated him

I saw my bluebirds send a big fat fox squirrel packing a few years ago when he climbed up on top of their nest box and tried to eat a cicada while there were babies in the box. He may still be running for all I know.

In NW Fla it was a common sight to see mockingbirds tearing up a crow. The crow was much bigger and stronger but the mockingbird was faster and more agile.

I once saw several hundred crows flying a big circle up in N. Ala and just raising Cain. Finally in the middle we spotted a hawk. I don't see how the hawk survived that many enemies and don't know if he did or not.

First week of June is Frost threat up here every year. Be interesting if that holds this year. Looks like cool weather next weekend, back to May weather. Got a couple more weeks before June yet. Any weather guesses beyond 2 days is a shot in the dark from my experience.  ffcheesy

I notice the grapes have not flushed out fast like the trees have. They have green buds showing and swelling, no leaves yet. They better not get in a hurry.  ffwave

I had it about 4-5 months ago.
I was cutting wood and had no idea I had it. Felt like a cold. Wife had it and the side effects lingered on for a more then a month.

I would think organic undyed wood chip mulch would sell well especially in certain areas.

@thecfarm  My guess is that the nest on your OWB belongs to a Phoebee family!

I know folks are looking for information on the Mikron Setworks and I know it's been a while and I apologize for going dark but I've had some rough patches. My wife had a nasty tumble and broke her shoulder, tore the rotator and been helping her quite a bit and well as for me my doctor said they would hold off on the chemo for a bit and evaluate my progress on my next follow up visit. I won't shortcut anything here so for those who truly believe I would appreciate your prayers.

"Lord Willing" - my plans are to try to finish my mill this week so I can saw the lumber for my summer projects. My neighbor stopped by yesterday and told me he's clearing some land(approx:10acrs) for his cows and gave me all the trees he is removing. I guess he liked the deal I gave him on the 690. It pays to have good neighbors and be good to them.

Anyway if the weather holds and I can get it done I hope to be using my mill by next weekend. I'm a little anal about some things and even though the Mikron comes in a weatherproof enclosure I'm adding another layer of weatherization to my install since there will be long periods between use and a few of my projects will take some time to complete I wanted to ensure water, insects or other intrusive issues won't destroy my investment.

Here's a new video on the 350Pro like I'm installing.

Micron-lite SW-350 Explanation

I know I get long winded at times but thanks for your prayers and patients.

God Bless everyone!

Chainsaws / Re: Battery chainsaw

Like I've said little battery saws have their place .I've got a micro with 24 volt batteries and 4 and 6 inch bars .Handy as a pocket on a shirt for light duty stuff like cleaning up wind blown limbs .I would not even think of attacking a 24 inch oak tree with it but on the other hand a 90 plus cc chain saw is not a good tool for 2 inch limbs .Match the tool for the job .

Ian; That's pretty-much what the nurse told me.

The antibodies in my system stopped a "full-on" battle with COVID!

I probably should get another booster when they become available again in this area!
