I'm new to chain sharpening, so some help please.

I have a Poulan 446T Pro Pruner.  The long handled gas powered pruner.  It has a 8" (maybe) bar.  I wanted to make sure I had the right file size.  I couldn't  find any specs on the bar so I called Poulan.  The person told me the pitch was 3/8".

My big Stilh MS310 is 3/8".

Can it be right that the little chain is the same pitch?

I'm Stihl (hehe) trying to figure all this out.  Any help would be appreciated.

The little poulan would be 3/8LP = 3/8 Low Profile, uses 5/32 file.

haha.  Thanks.  She forgot to mention the LP.  I just couldn't picture the big file on that little chain.

That makes sense.  I'll pick up a 5/32.

Thanks for your time!
