Where would I go to buy a diamond sharpening wheel without having it shipped from NZ?  The one I have may last a long time but I would sure like to have an extra one on hand just in case.

I hit a metal screw this morning but I was able to grind out most of the damage and finish the log.

There's one listed as in stock in USA (Hud-son, NY) for $169.40 for the "Sharpboy" grinder, the photo looks like the setup which came with my mill, my motor says Baby Jolly on it so I would check with peterson for the right wheel.  The one in the parts list says chain grinder but since it is a diamond wheel perhaps this is a misprint.

Here's the price list (you might need to log in to the mill owner's area to see it). http://petersonsawmills.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Hud-Son-Spare-Parts-Dec2013.pdf

Anyway to order these parts you need to go through Peterson NZ anyway for a quote.  There's a 3% charge to put it on a master card.

I get dressing sticks and replacement discs from my sawdoctor - maybe try that avenue?

Hi Qweaver  :)

We do have stock of the diamond wheel on shore in the USA. I've asked Joyce to email you with order information so you should receive that later today.

Cheers, Layla

It looks like the $99 wheel from Bailey's may be the same as the $169 one from Peterson.  Any one bought this one?
