New England palm tree??

Came across this picture of this tree from over the summer... It's an oak, but not sure how it has survived the ice and snow over the years!

 
I've met Vets who have lived but still lost their lives... Thank a Vet

WOW! That's a spendly dude there! What type of oak is it? I would be interested to hear how well it survived the ice! My guesses are...it's a little shorter now!?  ;D

With all this ice I wonder how close it is to the ground now?

 ;D not much snow/ice this year down in Connecticut  so I think she is still swaying in the breeze. I think it was a red oak. Amazes me that it can survive.
